My boxer would die, but I would like to think he would give it a run for its money.

My dog alerted to a Mt. Lion that was following my son and i during hunting season. We looked in the area my dog was growling at and saw the Mt.lion 40 yards away in the brush looking at us. My son had a Mt. Lion Tag and shot it. My dog is always with us when we hike and hunt and alerts to animals way before we see them but he's not a hunting dog just my best friend.IMG333.jpg

    That's a good dog!

My dog would be a cat turd, but I bet he offers me time to react.

He's a fantastic dog. Got him from 2nd chance, a place in Flagstaff Arizona that takes dogs in from off the street and has a no kill policy. He was found coming off the reservation and no one claimed him. Best dog I've ever partnered up with. I would say owned but I think he owns me. He's a rot, german Sheppard, pointer and whatever else mix. It's funny to watch him point and growl at the same time. I haven't been skunked hunting every type of game since I got him. Hes not gun shy and he doesn't chase the animals just points and growls. I'm lucky to have him......

Have a small for his age Springer because he got loose as a puppy and lived on his own. Ate lizards and grass hoppers for awhile on walks when we first got him. Makes a great first alert when we are in the woods. Think it is because he was on his own for awhile.
Never mind the dog beware the owner, he alerts me to possible danger that I might need to take care of.
Isn't that why we domesticated them .
