Not Tacoma related but I wanted to share this with everyone. I copy and pasted from my Instagram feed and I can't name names yet until the investigation ends.
I trusted them to look after my pup and I was picking him up Friday the 9th to take him back to California:

"I haven’t slept in almost 24hrs and this was not how I planned on coming back to St. Louis.
I received a call mid afternoon from the boarding facility telling me Zeke had a laceration in his paw but the vet recommended he be taken to the emergency vet.
An hour later I received another call from the vet telling me he may have fluid in his lungs and they’re recommending an MRI. I approved the MRI to try and diagnose his other symptoms.
Within an hour I received yet another call telling me he went into cardiac arrest. He did not survive.
We’re all still in shock that this all started from a cut. At least that’s what we’ve been told by the boarding and training facility. I was told to contact animal control to see what steps I should take to investigate what may have really happened. What’s more shocking is they never called me to see how I was doing or even acknowledge that he had passed away.
I still can’t believe it. He would’ve turned one year old next month. I flew in and drove to Mizzou to lay with him for a few hours and it was surreal.
If anyone out there has suggestions on what I should do or who I should contact, I greatly appreciate it."

Holy shit, I'm extremely sorry for your loss. I know how painful it is to lose them and it's a lot worse when they're young.

Goodness - I can imagine your frustration and pain. I would immediately do a necropsy. You can find the nearest location by doing a quick search. This will give you needed information as to 'what' - then the next steps will be determined by the findings.

So Sorry to hear. I cant even imagine. My parents had an issue with their Maltese after a week long kennel stay. Couldn't pin point it to that but he wasn't the same after that and passed away the next year at 11.

Now with my dog if my parents cant watch her and i cant take her i just don't go. Sorry for your loss and hope you get some answers.

9 weeks old. Been posting his ears past two weeks, going well so far. Tape him up for 5 days, air it out 1/2 day and re tape.
