    Question:

Changed out my Dome and Map to LEDs.

    ISSUE:
Started last week my lights will no longer turn off automatically, when I close my door or start my truck.

When I have the light switch switched to (Middle position) lights just stay on and will not fade off when door are closed or when I start my truck.

The dash shows the picture when any of the doors are open, so that still works. When I move the switch to the off position, I can still manually push the map turn on the lights and move the dome lights to the on position. Lights will not turn off automatically.

I changed the fuse, checked and open all the door contacts.

Hopefully someone has some ideas I can try.

    Thanks

3rd gens lights turn on as you approach the vehicle. Do you think that could be what's going on? I thought for sure I left my lights on until I realized it.

Just realized you said they're on when the vehicle is running. That sounds like a problem. Good luck, I hope you get a good response.

Make sure the dome light switch is on auto. You might have accidentally switched it to off position while changing the bulb

Put the OE bulbs back in and see if that corrects the problem.

Just to clarify... Only those equipped autos with the proximity key have this feature. Manual trucks must hit the unlock button on key before lights come on. Just wanted to mention that. I wish they came on like that but they don’t.

I put the original lights back and still have the same issue. I will do more internet searching. I can't be the only Taco owner with this problem :(

The LEDs possibly caused a feedback to the control unit. I would have dealer warranty it, which stock bulbs installed. Yes, you're not the only member with this issue.

Exactly what I was thinking. I have a schedule maintenance coming up, I will have them check it out.
