Removed some stuff, added some stuff.
Idk if anyone said this or not but after reading the first page I’m not taking the time to scroll through everything here. There may be an issue with the switch in the door(s) that complete the circuit that turns on the lights. I’ve been wrenching on cars long enough to know that you start with the simple shit. Check fuses, check switches (all of them) then check for free grounds or shorts. Start basic and go from there.

Yeah man coming up on 5 years… it seemed like the part that needs to be replaced is the body ECU and I can’t justify paying 600-800$ or more just so my dome lights come on when i open the door.

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
If you have a cooperating buddy, switch the console and verify it still doesn't turn off. BTW the fused juice to the overhead (cab) illumination is always hot (on), not ignition tied.

i was thinking about installing LEDs but realized I like dim lights. LEDs would annoy the crap out of me. glad i didn't change the bulbs.
