So my 2021 Tacoma with 15,000 miles has a very rusty driver’s side door striker. Replace with a painted one before the rust penetrates your rocker. Part #69420-35050 for the striker.

I did nothing out of the ordinary with the truck. She’s spotless most of the time. I will end up removing and spray painting the other 3 which currently don’t have any rust.

fyi. Part #90080-14055 is the WRONG part number for the screws.

jeez do you soak your vehicle in salt water baths? Crazy rust. I have a 2021 also. This makes me want to do a thorough inspection.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Mine's doing the same thing. The plating on it was garbage. Passenger side isn't nearly as bad as the driver.

Wow, looks like you poured acid on it.... I'm going to go check mine. I have a 21 too. I guess we always need to be on the lookout. Thanks for the heads up.

Just looked, mine look brand new... Yes, I'm clearly bored.

Flash rusted after stamping and started rusting before plating. Rust never stops, it just needed air and a little water to start spreading under the plating.

Always greased under them and antisieze on the screw threads. No air, no water, no rust.
