I've owned an 86 Ranger, a 92 Ranger, a 68 Chev C10, a 2012 F 150, a 2010 Tacoma and a 2023 Tacoma. Each has their positive points, and the Chev even had an ignition with points :) The family liked the F150 best and it was a pleasure to drive. The Tacomas allow me to go places the other trucks wouldn't go.

I like the Ranger but I doubt I'd trade a perfectly good Tacoma for one.

Thank you! No reason just wanted something different, you live and learn I guess. I’m just happy to be back in a Toyota

The oil dilution issues on my ranger was nuts. My oil level kept rising and rising every other week I checked the dipstick. I sent a sample to Blackstone and they confirmed lots of fuel in the oil. Ford refused to do anything telling me it’s normal. I’ll never own another Ford.

This place can make you believe the grass is greener but it’s only because the septic tank is leaking.

nice to hear I almost waited for a tremor but after ford starting deleting options I cut and run. Price is good on those but that company has some serious miss management problems.

Did you get one with a crooked tremor sticker?

I had a few dreams in the past where I traded my Tacoma in for another vehicle and regretted it. I would wake up in a panic and shock that I lost my Tacomas. That's how I knew, I would never trade in my Tacoma until it was a major upgrade. If I recall, one of them was a trade for a beautiful rice burner that I instantly cried about.

    Welcome back.

Exactly. From what I heard "quality control" to the level of "1930s bathtub-gin" was a reason governments stepped in and banned it for a long time.

So I guess I will cross the Ranger Raptor off my wish list then! :D If it ever shows up here anyway. Somewhere in the 80K price range with markups! No thanks! I had two Rangers over the yrs a stripped 1986 4 banger 4x4 lifted with 33’s, and a 1998 v6 manual 4x4. Both were good trucks, but definitely not Toyota quality.

There were quite a few peeps here talking that when the Ranger came out. They were encouraged by assholes like myself to go do it because we don't care about ya reasons, ya know. Cause you be back. Years later, the old ass Ridgeline is outselling that Ranger thing. You can't write a better script.

Don't be sexist. I'm sure miss managers are just as capable as Mr managers.
