The dealer tried to fix my hood (16 limited) and failed miserably, I followed one thread and added adhesive to essentially the entire hood skin where it can contact the braces....still vibrates. My doors visibly move / shake when you close the door hard, so either all the adhesive is missing in my doors or, in my opinion they just used too thin of sheet metal on this model, there's no rigidity to it.

My truck drives just fine, the hood is annoying when going 60mph or faster, I won't keep this truck forever it'll be someone else's problem eventually

The jury is still out on that one. The TSB worked well on the transmission performance (software wise). I have an end of line 2016, and I am not seeing a lot of the early 2016 issues... yet.. Knowing the Toyota quality philosophy, I am making an assumption Toyota is running changes to known issues, and I suspect the 2017 has some of the fixes employed.

Yes, that picture was taken at the Ford Mine on East Ord Mountain. It's a white truck, that's how it looks when dusty.

I did not have cruise control on when going up that mountain. I was running the cruise control at 35mph when going over some of the fire roads.

I have no buzzing in the steering wheel. I was death gripping the wheel trying to keep it straight while going down an old road with a bunch of washes going across it and it wasn't buzzing.

your transmission failed and the TSB fixed it? That's not a transmission failure if flashing the TSB fixed it

No. The TSB was performed before I took delivery of the truck, and the fluid level was corrected at about 315 miles. The transmission was defective from birth. The problems showed up at about 200 miles and still continues to this day. The symptom: about an 800 RPM flair up during the 3rd to 4th shift.

A Field Service Tech will be verifying soon, but the issue points to a valve body pressure leak down; not pressurizing the apply clutch of 4th gear fast enough. This would be the failure. Confirmation is coming soon.

what you call major off road trips?

Most stock trucks would not do minor off roading let alone something " major "

You talking about trail riding like in the picture?

With me driving, and a master tech in the truck as well, the FST verified the 3-4 shift flair on the Techstream. My truck has been at the dealership for a week. Enough with the Toyota customer service line. The case is being handled by an executive analyst now. A tech, from California, is on the way in tomorrow.
