    More than I can afford
Don't buy the cheap LED replacements, stick with brand names.

Know what attracts attention/gets you pulled over more then having a license plate light out?
Having a cheap LED license plate light going all disco inferno (strobing) while you are driving around.

I ordered them from superbrightleds.com. The link to the ones I got is below, but you can also just input your make/model and it will bring up a list of all the lamps they have for your truck.

Except I also had to replace the stupid little ones for the climate control knobs, and their website didn't list them. So after digging around this forum I ordered the ones below based on someone else's suggestion and they work great. Just in case anyone needs those too.

I'm running these in the map/lic/parking lights for years without issue.

It seems to be pretty good, but those silly lights have never worked since I bought this truck so I guess I don't have much to compare it to haha. I'll try to snap a picture tonight when it's dark.

Yes, any safety or lighting equipment that is not functioning properly is a reason to pull you over. Not all cops will bother with a small light such as this. But if they are looking for a reason, anything out (including tag illumination) is a legal reason to light you up and... BBQ YOUR ASS

While your at it, you would probably like to change out your backup lights to leds , best cheap mod I've done. I did the map lights and the license plate light too. Really needed the plate light, since I stole the left one for the trailer light connector mod.
