Guess I'll have a go at this...

    1. Aftermarket winch bumpers - Why do almost all of them dip down around the grill in the middle? It looks stupid and must cost more to make than just going straight across. Many of these bumpers would look great if they didn't have the dip. Also, why do so many of them mount the winch at a downward angle? Ugh.

Might be because of sheer weight of the bumper plus the winch. Upgrading suspension up front will solve this.

    2. Fake beadlocks. WHY???? Oh dear God, Make it stop.

Because looks, same thing with the fake skewp. It is what it is, why do you care?

    3. LEDs. They are great technology and are leaps and bounds above the halogens that we used to run but HOW MUCH LIGHT DO YOU REALLY NEED???? I see trucks running around with 174,000,000,000 Gigawatts of lighting power. Lightbar on top of the cab, light bar on or in the bumper, lights in the bumper ends, ditch lights on the hood, LED headlights...Stop it. Aircraft don't have that much light to land with. Baseball stadiums have night games with less light. Enough. And super bright LEDs inside your truck? Are you doing surgery in there? WTF? AAAAAGHHH!!!! Why do otherwise reasonable people suddenly transform into Clark Griswold from Christmas Vacation where these LEDs are concerned?

Again, why do you care what other people are doing? If they want light and can afford it, let it go. Unless their blinding you on freeway or roadways then you might want to call local enforcement.

    4. Bed Racks - I don't hate these, I just hate that they're almost a required part of every Tacoma at this point. They're great for those that actually use them, stupid if theyre just for decoration.

Uhg, again with this. Why do you care so much of what other people do? Some people will use them, some won't. Others may have already used them and have them currently emptied.

    5. "Which 35 inch tires will fit without rubbing with no lift and no trimming?" None of them. Stop it.

You're too new to complain about this.

    6. Stock TRD Off Road wheels - These are quite possibly the ugliest wheels ever made in the history of the world. I firmly believe that if the caveman who invented the wheel could have seen these, he would have destroyed his creation in order to protect humanity. He was a good guy and he cared about people.

Feel free to contact Toyota and let them know how you feel. Maybe submit to them your own designs. Or maybe show us something you would think look better. It's all opinion. Toyota likes it, you don't, cry me a river.

    7. "Tactical" stuff. Stop it. Unless you use your truck for military or law enforcement work, just stop it.

Tactical things serve many purposes. Just because I'm not a Doctor doesn't mean I can't give my nephew band aids. When I hike I carry life support gear in case of an emergency. If I lump it all into a plastic bag, I'll never find what I'm looking for. Tac bags keep things organized.

    8. All kinds of shit mounted to the dash. You've got two tablets, three cell phones, two GPS units, a weather radio and a satellite uplink to the international space station hanging off your dash. All of this shit and you're just going to the mall because cinnamon rolls arer half price today. Get a map.

YOU may not need or use any of these things but the people that go through the effort to mount it may. Don't expect everyone to live their life the way you do. Again, why do you care?

    9. The "Bro" thing. Enough said.

    The "pointless" post. Nuff said.

    10. Aftermarket exhausts - They all sound like shit. On raspy 4 cylinders or nice V8's, they can be like music. V6's (all of them) sound like shit with loud exhausts. Stop it.

All personal preference, sorry you hate everyone. You need Jesus.

I'm gonna have to disagree about the stock OR wheels. Stock Sport wheels though...:)

You forgot the aftermarket cold air intake to replace the OEM cold air intake.

    1. Don't know ain't a engineer.

    2. No good reason, I've got a set of Ray 10s, and don't need the fake headlock.

    3. Nothing like a second set of head and tail lamps, where the head and tail lamps already are.

    4. I don't need a bed rack, I don't like the look of any kind of rack, bed, roof, etc. If you need a rack ok cool.

    5. Big tires are cool, but damn I want to be able to change a flat with out having to hire a crane.

    6. Nissan truck wheels circa 80s - 90s. They kind of looked like a 3 spoke 2nd gen TRD OR wheel.

    7. Haven't seen FLIR in a build thread - yet!

    8. Dew point, has an impact on how many cinnamon rolls I can eat.

    9. Don't taze me bro!

    10. My 2nd gen stock exhaust sounds like a Grunman mail truck.

BTW, I agree with all of those.

With regards to the ugly TRD Off-Road wheels - I am still trying to come up with a miracle cure so I can keep them and save thousands of dollars in new wheels.

I’m sure whoever designed the Prius was demoted to doing the TRD Off-Road wheels.

Only the same twisted mind could have come up with so much ugliness twice

I actually really like those TRD OR wheels and if I didn't have a 5 lug I would definitely be snagging a set for my base model tacoma. :)

This speaks to me - worth the read, should be a sticky imo.

...bbb-but without my faux beadlocks, faux skewp, faux grille, KBRO2 tires, puck lift, wheel spacers, and maxtrax/shovel mounted to a cab rack, how can I impress others with my #EAF skills?
