[FONT=Arial,sans-serif]What could happen if you screw with a TEXAS law enforcement officer.

Living on the border, TEXANS are all familiar with criminals coming from Mexican gangs. In this situation, three armed felons crossed the TEXAS sovereign border, and tried to rob an off duty El Paso , TEXAS police officer dressed in civilian clothes while he stood in front of a bank. The plan was for two of them to grab his backpack and toss it to an accomplice on a stolen motorcycle.

However, this well prepared El Paso Police Officer shot them ALL , managing to kill 2 immediately.

The 3rd thug was shot in both arms and bled to death before help arrived.

Do you realize how much this TEXAN saved the US taxpayer by not having to prosecute ?

They Picked The Wrong Man to Rob - Too Bad for them ALL! ...only in TEXAS !!

    God Bless TEXANS!

THE AVERAGE RESPONSE TIME FOR A 911 CALL IS EIGHTEEN MINUTES.

THE AVERAGE RESPONSE TIME FOR A .45 S&W ROUND IS ABOUT 1,225 FEET PER SECOND......

    GO DO THE MATH!

I don't know how they do things in Brazil. But that cop should have rendered aid to the one survivor after the threat had been eliminated. Now I know everyone isn't going to like this comment but that's part of the job.

I humbly feel that you have no where near enough information to understand the situation and whether or not the cop should have done anything different from what he did. Did you see all that blood? did that cop have protection like gloves, or a CPR mask? It's only part of the job if it doesn't put the officer at undue risk.

Plus, there are so many other factors like: training, unit guidelines, the response time of a medical team, the crowd going into mob mentality after seeing three people get shot, etc. etc.

Not to mention that we don't really even know that he didn't render aid once he determined that the area was clear. We have a span of maybe thirty seconds of pictures and a small paragraph telling us what happened. Why bash a guy that defended himself?

I wasn't trying to bash him on protecting himself. An I understand that there are many factors but from the pics the dude was moving around on the ground bleeding out. I was just making an observation based on how I've been trained.wasn't trying to pass a gun law or anything.

Yes but, to me your observation was worded as an accusation of dereliction of duty. By saying he's wrong not to risk getting aids, or put himself at undue risk is a misrepresentation of "the job."

This doesn't need to become a back and forth rant. I see that you just wish that the third man had been given a chance to live. I wish he could have lived too, so that he may have been able to see the err of his ways or at least pay back his debts to society. All humans have that right.

I hope that maybe you can see what I'm trying to say. That mans death probably wasn't because the officer acted wrongfully, and without more info, It's unwarranted to pass judgement.

I think this video serves as a great example of what could happen if you decide to risk a life of crime. Criminal activity is a gamble and sometimes you roll snake eyes.

i agree with middiedefense. it is their job to provide aid after they pulled the trigger. do you see cops running away after they shoot the criminal? NOPE. they call 911 and provide aid until the ambulance or w/e gets to the scene. they dont just leave them to die. as stupid as this sounds, this is the way it works. middiedefense was trained the right way.
