I think they are trying in stages. I'm sure it will get brought up at some point. Could be one doesn't have a functioning one and to keep things equal both teams are with out at the moment.

They don’t have light bars yet so they can’t have lockers either

I don't think lo car is a TRD so to keep things even, they shouldn't use it. Maybe they'll weld the rear diff on lo car haha

    New Episode is out

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEVrrWU7Qn8

Honestly not a big fan of this episode. You can't do the typical Hi parts and Lo parts for this episode, like doing a ARB bumper vs what a TG bumper? It's still gonna accomplish the same thing but just look different and when we pick bumpers it really comes down to personal preference. Like do I want a TG, ARB, Relentless, BAMF or whatever, it usually comes down to what we think looks the best. So I agree with the pre-made vs fabbing up (minus tool costs obviously) but I think they should've given Lo-team more time to get the correct pieces built correctly and used that as a plus for Hi-team.

I also think Lo team is gonna run into issues when they compare winches (I mean they have to, it's always being brought up on here), their bumper doesn't look like it'll hold a winch. So I bet down the line they either rebuild it or just buy a TG one.

Anyways looking forward to next weeks which seems like it could be lockers since James said "we have a tough one next week, well we do, you guys have an easy one) which makes me think front and rear lockers vs just rear??

I will admit they're mostly car guys that are trying to get into this "overlanding" trend. I respect them for doing 1st gens instead of any other platform but they should've researched a bit more into what they're doing

I watched all the episodes. Cool show. Pure entertainment. But there is no really test or measure that validate their opinions on which set ups to go with.

It’s usually just based on not wanting to spend $$$$$ on the hi parts.

Pretty standard for most here too. For everyone going off data and actual facts you have many choosing based on price and hearsay.

I'm curious if they realized the elocker needs that little bit of creeping forward/turning the wheel to get it fully engaged? I felt like some of the confusion on if it was on or off was thinking it was an instant on/off like the air ones. I know I did the same thing the first few times I used mine. Regardless, hi truck is gonna be a monster at the end of the season! I'm curious what the next one is gonna be? Maybe regearing/crawlbox or something along those lines, or if they'll switch to accessories like winches or lights

I'm thinking a winch or possibly accessories as well. High truck getting LED spot/flood lights and a LED bar, while low truck gets halogen spot/flood lights lol. I doubt they'll do gears since they already removed the diffs, but I could be wrong.

I kind of wish they would have went with an auto locker for the low truck as that is a pretty budget friendly locker instead of using OEM parts.

I'd love to see a supercharger go on hi truck, but there's no real comparable low truck version. Gotta be accessories from here on out. Warn vs Harbor Freight? Name brand vs Amazon Chinese LEDs?

Since the hi truck guys were mentioning their switch and fuse panel for lights, I'm guessing that'll be their next step. Hi will get something nice, maybe stick with ARB, and wire into the same switch panel they're using for lockers. Lo truck is probably gonna get something cheap from Amazon. Hopefully they use the stock switches, they seem really nice but most big stuff I've watched on youtube they replace them with crappy looking aftermarket ones.

Here's the latest episode. So I get the whole super cheap vs really expensive but I think this one over did it. I feel they should've done a Warn synthetic line winch vs. Harbor Freight steel rope. Because obviously nobody really uses come-alongs anymore, even the hi-lift can be used in the same way as a come-along.

Also does anybody know what bed rack Hi truck had? I'm really curious as to why there was such a huge gap between the "feet" of the rack and the top of the bed....
