When I try to lock the doors from the outside by touching the drivers door handle the truck beeps at me and acts like a door is open and won’t lock. I checked all the doors are closed. When I open the drivers door I can see it says door ajar. What would cause this?

I read someone else had issue with windshield seal or a leak and causing a wire to short.

I also read someone unplugged the sensor in the door jam and got rid of the feature all together. Does this work?

I’m hoping my lights aren’t on inside and I don’t have dead battery when I get back to my truck after work.

Do you have a moonroof and tilted open?
On the center display of the gauge cluster, go the message page, it should show you what it is not happy about.

Check to see if your second fob in in the truck.

Check all your door sensors? I would make sure they’re not broken. If you hit into something and the plastic stud on it broke, it won’t be able to press in and open the circuit.

But yeah obviously check all the simple stuff first, like make sure your spare fob isn’t in the truck and all.
