Purchased my first Tacoma recently. It's in mint condition and I'd like to keep it that way! I'm notorious for scuffing the bottom of my truck doors while getting out with my shoes. I've been searching on Amazon and Ebay to see if there's such a thing as a protective film or something that I could put over the bottom of the door panel to protect against shoe scuffs. I found several for other makes and models, but nothing for Tacomas. Is there such a thing for Tacomas? I suppose if nothing else, I could keep it coated with a protectant, that might help?

Haven't found anything in almost 5yrs. Door panels scuff and scratch super easy. We just talked about this on another thread. Mine came with oem sill protection.

When i ordered my 2023 taco I added the TRD door sill protectors with floor mats the cost was $260.
Might be worth checking into to see if your dealer or online sales has them for your TACO??

For eleven years on my 2012 TRD OR double I did not have door sill protectors. I rubbed out most of the scratches with rubbing compound before I sold it. So for my new Tacoma I purchased the Toyota OEM door sills and they are great.

I believe OP is referring to the plastic at the bottom of the door itself…not the sills.

Pretty sure theres nothing for Tacomas. If you have a civic I can point you in the right direction though lol. Just try not to kick it, and remember its just a tacoma.

You can do as the oil rig guys do: boots off, slippers on when driving or entering buildings.

Throw clear vinyl on it or some poolside anti-skid tape. Problem solved. Toyota does have adhesive “protectors” but they don’t actually protect the lip on the door seal where all the wear will potentially be.

I do the same thing and have been doing it for so many years I don't even notice I'm scuffing them. I keep a spray bottle of interior detailer with a microfiber towel on the shelf next to my drivers door and just wipe them off. Like every day.

Looks like my best bet! I'll give it a shot! Thanks!
