My armrest is broken. Nice and soft.

 

You can try to re-upholster the arm rest.

-suede
-leather, could be thicker cut with some cushion to it
-foam backed. Not sure if the foam wears out from squishing
for example, auto headliner fabric is often 1/8" foam-backed. The foam helps work with the glue to stick onto the headliner cardboard. And helps look better by evening out any imperfections

 

Do this mod but squeeze whatever cushioning you’d like under the pleather-like wrapping.

Me? Yea I pulled the door and followed the instructions people use when they wrap it with leather. I just included the foam and then used the black fabric over it all
