Question for the group...I've read in here the different ways of defeating the annoying driver side door chime from a software fix to a guy charging $50 for a little cover to keep the switch depressed. Anyway, I was going to do the ghetto version of a switch cover yesterday. When I removed the rubber cover to the switch, I ended up just removing the actual switch...problem solved. Question is, did I solve the problem or did I cause myself a future headache of some kind. Anyone with experience with removing the switch or thoughts of a problem?

Does your dome light still work?

Does the 'door ajar' light work in the cluster?

I unplugged mine and bolted it back in. Been fine for many months, SR though.

Cotton ball and tape can muffle the beep, if you don't want to completely remove the speaker.
