What's wrong with a family making money? WalMart pays their workers whatever the wages set by the Federal/State/City labor requirements. Don't blame WalMart for not paying someone $50 and hour to sweep floors, blame this thing called economics. Do you think that if Apple paid their US workforce minimum wage, they'd stay there for very long? It's called supply and demand. Are you aware that WalMart recently initiated the closing of over 200 stores in the US? How many people will that affect? Do you think that if those stores were profitable they would be closing? Please give us all your intelligent reasoning behind this corporate decision.

As far as having programs in place to assist workers in garnering food stamp/SNAP/welfare, the US military has those very same programs on every base/post in America. Are we saying that the federal government does not pay the military enough?

I don't mind people taking up 2 (hell even 4 spots) as long as you are WAY away from the store. I usually leave a note on the windshield of the dick that parks like that right up front that reads:

"I hope you don't fuck like you park... You'd never get it in"[/QUOTE]

I use adhesive backed notes on their windshield reading "Thanks for parking so fucking close. Next time leave a can opener so I can get in my car."

Since getting the Tacoma, I park away from other vehicles and walk. It's good for my blood pressure!

I have OEM tube steps on mine. No dings so far.

EDIT: AND I park far away. See no point in searching for spots.

I never park between cars and will back into an end spot so I can use my mirrors to get my tires as close to the curb as possible so there's more room on the other side. If that's not an option, I'll just walk further and park out past everyone else

    Tube steps! Ha!

I don't do any crazy off-roading with my truck, just fire roads and whatnot, so I'm not worried about messing up or breaking the tube steps, but I like how they look and they also protect against door dings. If you offload then get yourself some sliders and they'll also do double-duty as great door ding protection!

Also, as others have said, I park out int he distance in a parking lot.

That's probably WHY he can afford a Tacoma.

Just to completely derail this thread , I agree on the first part. Capitalism all the way. However, I don't think we pay / support our military enough either. I'm not willing to do it myself, so I'm willing to support those that are.

Rock sliders although work are overkill for this. Plus, they only work against cars. Any vehicle that sits above them will still ding doors. Most full size trucks and suvs, the bottom edge of the door will sit higher than the top tangent edge of a slider on stock suspension. My F1shitty sits above a Tacoma.

Like most said, just park away from everyone or just ignore it. After all, its an offroad truck.

I have Raptor running boards that protect my doors from anything smaller or lower than my TRD Pro which has a slight lift higher than standard TRD Offroad/Sports.

I'm pretty sure those are intended to protect your door edges from chipping when you ding someone. They are not going to protect you from the guy that's hitting you.

I just park far and walk. I've been doing that with all my cars since I was in High School 20+ years ago. Never had issues with any door dings ever since...

I'm sorry but you guys with the park far far away tactic have it all wrong. o_O

#1 - Parking far away will only get you noticed more and yes- people will do shit to your ride just because they know you obviusly DON'T want something to happen. The same logic why people go slower in the fast lane when your behind them or speed up to trap you.
Seen it happen and had it happen. Whether you notice after you get out of the stord or later when your washing it.

The trick is to park in the magical space called the 'Don't give a fuck zone'. Or "no man's land" if you will. Yes I've trademarked that name-don't think about using it.

This zone is located somewhere in between where all the lazy people who jam themselves in like sardines are and the far far away zone.
Allowing at least 6-12 spaces between you and the next sardine but not so far away that you draw attention to your ride.

Pro tip: once you've spotted the magical "Don't give a fuck zone" park slightly off to one side of the stall-just about hugging that yellow line. Maybe even some of your rear bumper hanging out that your effectively giving yourself a buffer zone within the 'Don't give a fuck zone' as to not look like a total douche parking in the middle of 2 stalls.
This simply looks like someone who missed their stall and sucks at driving...

The prick who now parks beside you A-has made it apparent he has gone out of his way to fuck with you and will now B-have a fresh loogy awaiting him upon his return. Or a busted wiper arm.

    :hattip:

I haven't had too many issues parking my truck in Wal-Mart, but I do park in the DGFZ as mentioned above. Too far away and it's a magnet for a thief, too close... well... my truck is too big to park close, so I park far away. Ha.

The worse offenders of door dings at the moment is my wife's work. They are some of the most inconsiderate assholes I've come across. Her car has at least 15 door dings on both sides because they are in a hurry, fling the door open, and hit her car. I've asked her to park in a different lot and walk a bit further to avoid this. Some of her other co-workers with nicer cars park in the far lot as well just to avoid this.

Most truck owners I've come across are very considerate when parking, at least that seems to be my experience at the moment. YMMV.
