Evening, everyone! So my driver's side door handle will not open the door unless I pull the full travel of it. (Out as far as it will go.) I have had the handle out several times, but I can't see anything wrong with it or the linkage inside. From what is visible, at least.
Both handles were replaced with a non-oe unit under prior ownership, but the passenger side works fine.

    Thanks everyone!

Mine does the same. I have the Amazon “upgraded” T1A metal driver door handle and it still makes me worry that the handle will stop functioning like the original and its plastic replacement did.

I hit the latch mechanism with some white lithium grease and that seemed to help a little.

It’s probably the latch worn out not the release handle.

Likely one of the rods has straightened out a little. You can use a pair of pliers and put a little more bend to one of the existing bends in the rod. That’ll shorten the length enough to prevent having to pull the handle all the way up
