Has anyone experienced the drivers door handle seal leak on a 2020 or any other 3rd gen? Water leaked in my 2020 Trd Pro and shorted out the lock actuator. Yes I know water naturally infiltrates the door and it has drains but it has now been at the dealer for 2 weeks and they have engaged engineers at the plant and master technicians. They also changed the seal and it still leaks and they all concur that it’s a lot more water than it’s designed for.

Water can still get in front the window after a car wash too. You are right about the doors not being water tight.

What are the conditions that allow water in?

    Gentle Rain?

    Car wash?

    Shoot water directly at handle?

I only had it a week so I didn’t even get a chance to wash it. It happened when I drove it home in the rain the night I bought it. I presume they are just using a hose to test it at the dealership.

I’m not sure the year makes a difference because it’s technically the same truck as 2016 unless they changed something so subtle only a design engineer would know. They have already consulted them down in San Antonio and they had the master tech video record it.
