Door handle works intermittently?

Greetings,

Yesterday I replaced the little 12V motor in the door lock actuator in my driver door. The lock functions like its supposed to, the interior door handle opens the door as it should, however, the exterior door handle might open the door a dozen times with no issues.....then suddenly wont work after cycling the locks. I have to walk around to the passenger side of my truck to open my driver door from the inside. So long as I keep my doors unlocked, it doesn't appear to be an issue.

I will say that every time the exterior door handle would suddenly cease to function, I could feel a click like something on the inside has slipped. Any suggestions before I take my door apart, again, and fight with getting the door actuator out and apart?

 

My guess is one of the yellow circled is broken, the blue is popped out or broken, or the cables are crossed and binding.



It's easy enough to pop the door card off by hand may as well.
