    Truck: 2001 Toyota Tacoma RWD

An idiot neighbor decided to pull excessively on my interior door handle on the passengers side effectively breaking a part I'm having difficulty locating.

It's the green plastic piece that connects to the door lock assembly. I need to replace this part. Anyone know where to purchase or what the name of this part is? Thanks.

Are you referring to the plastic part that clips to the long metal wire that opens the door?

I included a picture of the part in my original post which I now see is gone.

That's exactly the part I was referring to. Looking at Jonathan's diagram he highlighted in green which part you need from the dealership. I would get 2 of them for sure. You will need multiple during the life of your Taco.

    Is there
His highlight looks like the entire door handle. I only need the small plastic piece. I believe this is the part I need: https://parts.olathetoyota.com/oem-...hY29tYSZ5PTIwMDEmdD1iYXNlJmU9Mi00bC1sNC1nYXM=

Are these pieces different from L to R side of truck?

69759 Yes, they are different because they attach in opposite directions. I've been there but would call Olathe to make sure since my memory is fading fast!!!

Lol the direction does not matter. You just would clip it from the backside instead of the front

I didn't mean to highlight that. Sorry if it confused anyone.

@FJ40-13 - you might try a locksmith, if you have one nearby. For all the things they do to open doors, they may carry that type of part. Worth a try.

This may apply to your 2001, though it is from parts list for 1999-2000 Tacoma:
