Hi -- I am trying to figure out why my 2017 is no longer chirping when locking/unlocking. I noticed that the sound was getting quieter, and then one day, it just stopped working. I've replaced the buzzer under the hood twice thinking I got one that was DOA -- still not working. I pulled all of my door panels off, looking for an exposed or corroded wire connected to anywhere on the door, as someone had mentioned this in another thread. The setting in the radio is on and set to be as loud as if could go. The doors lock and unlock with no issue and the lights flash.

I am stumped and am trying to not take it in to the shop.

Has anyone else seen this? Many of you probably want the sound off, but I like hearing the confirmation beep.

    Edit: for clarity

I was probably the one that reported the corroded wire, it was in the b pillar on an early 3rd gen like yours, no explanation of why it happened, just water.

The problem is it took a lot of full schematic diagnosing to find the issue, it was quite hard for me as a professional to isolate one of the 4 door circuits and pin pointing the corrosion.

I'd start with a battery disconnect. It can sometimes resolve these issues.

Hey Bishop, yes it was you -- I couldn't seem to find the thread for some reason. I was going to disconnect next. If I happen to have the same issue with the wire you mentioned, are the wires accessible from inside the cab under trim, or would I need to disconnect them somewhere and pull them out?

I'd just leave it. There's enough beeping in this beeping world. I just look for the flashing light.
