My Wife's truck, for whatever reason, has recently started to mysteriously reset itself in position.
    Anyone ever have this happen?
    Thank you

Hmm, Im honestly unsure if any of the Tacoma sub-models offer this,
But in other cars i've owned the mirror and seat settings are synced to the individual key fob. They return to a preset position when a specific fob is used.

If she was to adjust them in the car and not resync the key fob, it would change back the next time she got in.

A quick look in the manual shows no option for a personal user setting of the mirrors. Maybe she is accidentally hitting the control switch or someone is physically moving the mirror when walking passed or grabbing the mirror while near the door.

To prevent accidentally moving the mirror with the switch, make sure the control knob is centered, not switched to the left or right mirror.

You can also check if the motors are worn by lightly pressing on the corners of the mirrors to see if they move at all. I think if this was the case though, she would be complaining about them adjusting while driving, not parked.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
To the best of my knowledge, there are no mirror settings that change without driver input.
The mirror adjustment control is directly in front of the Door Lock button. Might she be accidently bumping the mirror control when locking the doors from inside?
Confirm that that the control knob is centered and then see if the mirror position changes after a couple of drives.

as mentioned, I am pretty sure there is no personal/custom settings for drivers/FOBs.
Your location is not listed, is it cold and someone is scraping the mirror free of frost or snow? Maybe a loose assembly?

Okay. Thought I would let you all know that I have no idea why. Mirrors have not lost setting since my Wife told me about it.
If anything further develops, I will post it.
The Driver's Door window got left down about an inch about a Month ago and it rained.
I suppose maybe the moisture caused it, maybe?

I would suspect unrecognized driver error/action (no offense).
I've left my driver's side window open a few times during a rain event with no adverse effects (yet).
