My Taco came packaged with the all weather mats, door sill protectors, and something else. I was surprised that I liked the all weather mats. I debadged the whole exterior and covered as much of the chrome as practical. With that, the logos on the mats and sills does not bother me. It actually took me a while to even notice that the door sills were an add on and that the logo was there.

I guess as long as it blends in, I'm happy with it.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
They are just a strip of heavy duty vinyl and they are stuck (not molded) on with some heavy duty adhesive.
HERE is definitely where Toyota makes a huge profit --when they sell these at sticker price!
I got my OEM set from a Toyota dealer for about 39 bucks -- I thought that still was too much --but I bought em anyway.

Agreed. Blending is my goal. I went with a generic Red Hound Auto from eBay. Here is what they advertise. $24.00 shipped

From TW member @rrentrop. He has several colors, and other inlays that are pretty sweet. He sells a higher quality vinyl product than some of the other choices on eBay. I believe his page has a link to his eBay store. Highly recommended!

I'm not familiar with what door sill protectors actually do. I mean, the answer is in the name, they protect the door sills, yes? What is the end result, just no unsightly scratches when you look down as you climb in the truck? Maybe help prevent rust in heavy snow climates with a lot of salt to protect from rust? I'm not trying to say that they are a waste of money if you have them and are happy with them, great. More power to ya. Am I missing something here?

I do think they look nice with color matched Tacoma inlays.
