No, I checked the door and there is no damage or rubbing. That was my first concern

My truck is for sale and a guy came to look at it the other day and noticed the wear on the g fab protectors I have. The rest of the truck is mint and I said yeah I get out like a dip shit apparently. He laughed and made me an offer on the truck.

Ok, I have to get me the G Tek diamond plate covers. I have the OEM on their way but those look nice! Just shot him a message.

You will be happy with those! I got the smooth finish but it's a great product.

Ordered my GTek silk protectors and they’re already on the way! Once the rain stops, I’ll paint over the wear and post pics

I got my truck used and my door sill was similar to yours. First thing I got was the door sill protectors. They should have been standard in my opinion.

Some people a vehicle is a tool to get from A to B . They never even notice things like that . Disturbing .

I like the fact that my Tacoma has the door sill protectors. So I’m not knocking them.

Had an FJ before the Tacoma. The driver side was worn a lot worse than the OP pic after 10 years of daily use. Believe it or not, rust was never an issue. Dragging my foot across the sill the same way every day kept that bare metal clean!

All of my buddies with Tacomas already had the protectors. Mine was the exception. Ugh.

I just bought some cheapo ebay faux carbon sill protectors. They just stick on and if they wear in a few years I'll replace them with same...

got rid of chrome, that's about it. (i work in it so cant mod it too much)
mine looks worse than that on the driver side but with my job i get in and out of my truck on average 30 to 40 times a day so i'm going to have excessive wear on certain items on my truck. ill fix it when i get some time and motivation then add protectors but right now i just dont have the time.

I bet it was his spurs hitting everytime he got out lmao. My second guess was an ice skater.

Same here. I even taught my two young boys the proper way to enter and exit a vehicle. Not only for mine but to show respect to others aswell.

yep! no reason to fk it all up like that, I make sure I step onto the floor mat
and the rest of the push is off the nerf bar, same thing getting out. It would drive
me nuts if it was all scuffed up like that and down to the metal is just a fuk-it
attitude. I've got about a 4" lift as well, just no reason for the sill to be that bad.

I'm at 21k miles and mine still look brand new. That just looks like carelessness from the prior owner.
