Door still bubbling rust

Have a 2016 with the dreaded rust on the drivers sill. Got one of the first ones so out of warranty, 25000 miles, and the service manager tells me to go to collision center to get estimate. Came back at $1100. Don't think he expected that. I didn't either, I am assuming that is for all 4 sills? Contemplating my options.

Told him I was just upset because I have taken good care of it and there is not even a spot of trust on the frame, thanks two and fluid film). The manager said, "oh, I know it is very well taken care of, I inspected it twice."

First stated that if Toyota won't cover it they would try to absorb most the cost.

Was really looking forward to paying this off and letting the real fun begin. Now contemplating my options.

Knew there was a risk getting one of the first ones, but didn't expect this crap.

 

Mine was fixed under warranty shortly before they issued the TSB for it. All 4 sills.
I'd raise hell about having to pay for it. It's 3 yr, 36k miles, when did you buy it?

I'm passed the 36 months, the tsb was I. March and I was still out of warranty

I took them the tsb, they can never seem to find them.

 

Heard that on the TSB lol.
