I know this was a while ago, but how did you fix your issue? I have the same thing. The green cable is seated properly and I can open door from the outside ok, but not from the inside.

Same here. I've put plenty of door speakers in and never once removed the door latch.

The child lock is not on. The other rear door is fine.
What did you reconnect? On mine the green plastic piece is seated fine and the ball on end of cable is in correct spot. But when opening door from inside there is a lot of slack.

There should be 2 cables. One for the lock and the other for the handle itself.

everything matches the other side, it is like something came loose inside the door. But I can't really tell since it is hard to see in there.

Is it possible to take the door panel off from the inside? Or use an air bag to pry the door open like how AAA does it?

I believe when I did this installing speakers I ended up removing part of the door panel with the door closed. Had to pry very hard. May have damaged the white clips while I did it but was able to fix the door cables.

Ok, I feel stupid now. I thought the child safety lock was not on, but it turns out that it was, not allowing me to open the door. I'll go stand in the corner now...

OK how did you get at the child lock? . When the rear drivers door on my 22 Sport dbl cab is closed and stuck locked, and both the inside and outside handles are not opening my door, how the heck did you get at the child lock on that door to open it? I'm stuck here scratching my head. I have a idea where it's located but physicaly cant see it or get at it.

First thing that came to mind was child lock in this thread.

Anyways... I've had an issue with a door on a previous F150 that wouldn't open and I had to not be so gentle and basically almost sacrifice my arm to pull the lever. Somehow, nothing broke and I was able to open it then replace the mechanism. I dunno... FORD things...

But if it's not opening from the outside either, then it's not the child lock.
