Hello, not to long ago the drivers side door stopped opening with the remote. It does open with the key, manually, and also by pushing the unlock button on the arm rest. Does anybody know what may cause the driver door to not unlock only with the remote ?

Well since you said it works with the switch, I'd rule out the actuator.

Do all the doors unlock when pushed twice? Except the drivers door?

Yes the do. I was thinking that something may have gotten stuck but it doesn't make since that it unlocks with the switch

From my amateur opinion...If it doesn't unlock with the switch or key fob, I would say actuator or wire to the actuator..if the switch does work but not key fob then possibly just a wire to the actuator coming from the keyless remote brain, not sure if separate from the ecu or not .

You can always check the power wire with a multimeter to see if it's getting voltage or not when the switch is pressed to isolate it to an actuator issue rather than wire.

Also work taking a look to see if the actuator came loose from the lock push rod...

I could be way of base since I've not taken the panel off of a Tacoma door, just throwing some ideas out there.

I'm leading toward the actuator also.
