So I got in my 16 taco this morning and while I was driving it I keep hearing a clicking noise, I come to find out it’s the truck trying to lock itself repeatedly. It’s randomly timed, sometimes 3 times in a second then once in a minute. It happens while the car is running or it’s off. It is a salvage truck that I rebuilt but I haven’t had this problem in the 3 months I’ve owned it. I’ll upload a video for reference

I posted this it the 3rd gen forum with no luck so I’ll try it over here. Also, last night I went to grab something out of my bed while the truck was running, I closed the door and it locked me out! I had to find a coat hanger and try to break into my own truck for 30 mins. I finally got in but I never want to deal with this again! (And I refuse to go to the dealership, here in Roanoke they charge an arm and a leg for everything.... like 300$ for an extra key... uncut... unprogramed)

Disconnect the driver door lock till you have time to diagnose your apparent wiring problem
