I came across that build awhile ago! Amazing work, and extremely well built

    I used six holddowns.

I also used backing washers under the bed. I slipped the washers on the rivnuts before setting (compressing) them.

It takes an extra set of hands, but I feel the washers help spread the load on the plastic bed.

Makes sense. I think the grip range for the rivnuts I ordered was .165-.265 and the the bed is only 3/16” thick or .1875 so I plan on using a small washer as well.

The washers I used were slightly larger in diameter than the top of the rivnut.

    I found them on McMasterCarr.

    UPDATE 2/13/19:

Icon 10 Gallon water tank showed up yesterday. It's exactly what I need with the exception of the fill hole is different then I expected. I was expecting a 1 1/4" threaded insert as opposed to a neck that will accept a hose with a 1 1/4" ID hose. This would not be an issue if 1 1/4" hose was more flexible. I need to make a hard 90* turn in 4.5" for this to work and 1 1/4" fittings are proving difficult to find.

Regardless, I got my other fittings installed. The two that are joined at the bottom will lead to a filter and then through the pump. The other fitting is for the breather that I will mount on the bed rail to prevent contraction and swelling with temperature and elevation.

    UPDATE 2/14/19:

Quick little update. In regards to the tank and the incorrect fill hole, I have found a company local to me that is able to drill out the incorrect filling and spin weld a new 1-1/4" FPT fitting into the tank which will allow me to use the fittings that I already purchased and planned on using all along. It's an added expense but I got a steal on this tank so I'm not too worried.

In addition to that, I purchased the last big item, my Tembo Tusk Jumbo Front Pull Slide. It's super pricey but I finally plan on having a drawer system for more than a year this time so I feel it's money well spent.

    UPDATE 2/20/19:

I got my Tembo Tusk slide in the mail yesterday! that thing is an absolute beast! I'll get some pictures up tonight. Additionally, I got a new fitting installed on my water tank, they did a decent job but I am going to plastic weld over the fitting to clean it up and add a little extra security to the fitting. I'll post some before and after pics because they did a little bit of a hack job but I guess that's what I get for $10.

At this point I have all of the major components and it's about time to just build the damn thing. I am going on a ski trip this weekend but hope to start building next week.

Try the water heater section at Lowes. They have plastic fittings that size

It's going a little slow at the moment but I'm working on CNC designs so I can have everything as precise as possible!

Likewise, if you guys don't mind a third wheel. Also, I'd just like to meet up with some like minded CO peeps. I'm up in Loveland. Have you sold your V1 and V2 builds?

V1 got trashed after I pulled all the reusable hardware off and the V2 got sold to a member in the springs.

But once I get rolling on this you are welcome to come down and check it out. I’ll be at some events in Denver too like RSGs open house and Toytecs customer appreciation day!

The project is on hold for a few more weeks while I finish up on a few other things including a new roof rack
