Just trying to decide if I want a double drawer system or a single drawer with a bed slide on the other side so I can throw my cooler on there without breaking my back when it's loaded down

I like the single drawer idea. And for when you don't have the cooler in there, you could create a "lid" to fill the void where the cooler would usually sit. That way you have one large, flush surface in there if that makes sense.

Sub'd. Awesome work! Much more cost effective and personally customizable than the aftermarket options out there.

    I see what you're saying.
I'm brainstorming an idea where I would create a platform like OP made, then for the top I would create two separate "lids." The one that would be on the side where the slide for the cooler would go, would flip over when I have the cooler in the back, then flip back when it's not and then I have the whole platform surface. I hope that made sense.

I think I get what you're saying! Similar to what I said, but instead of removable, just have it flip back/over?

Yeah. Just run some hinges right down the middle.
I just thought about this though....I have a cap and I hope it'll be able to flip without hitting anything

@Doozy4212, what thickness did you use for the base?

    Edit: I found it

    UPDATE: 6/25/2018

    PICTURE DUMP!!!

While I still have a few things left to finish up, I finally 'finished' the drawers this weekend! Here they are in all there glory.

    Left side drawer

    Bedslide

    Kitchen drawer

Simple closer mechanism for the drawer that will hold my cast iron griddle and cutting board

    Everything all extended

Storage for pots, pans and anything else

Cast iron and cutting board drawer closed

Top deck where all the cubby doors closed

    And open

I still have some little odds and ends to finish up including:
    • New passenger side cubby door (its slightly cattywompus and it annoys my OCD)
    • New screws for piano hinges and glue screws into wood for extra strength and a better seal
    • Attach webbing loops to cubby doors
    • 3/4" aluminum trim around stove nest area
    • 3/4" aluminum trim on top deck by right side cubby door
    • Figure out how to keep cutting board in place
    • Wax leftside drawer
    • Level bedside, the left side of the bedside sit 1/16th of an inch to high
    • Clean and grease slides
    Thanks for watching!

thanks! there's still a few odds and ends to finish up and I'm sure I will tinker with it as time does on as well but I am very happy with the results. This weekends project is going to be painting my new @Mobtown Offroad rear bumper and swing arm

This is going to be the inspiration for my build. I am not nearly the craftsman you are, but I will try.

Do you have an estimated weight of the finished box?

If i had to venture a guess I would say 150-175 the base itself if not all that heavy but the slides are 70-80 lbs for both pairs.

BUT, with that being said, i don't notice a difference in driveability even with the larger tires and added weight
