Double cab folding rear seats down question please...

New 2020 Limited, owner's manual states to "swing the bottom cushion up by "pulling the lock release strap".

Well, there are no release straps on my new Limited. Further, there are no locks for the part you sit on... I can flip my seat cushions up just by pulling on them. It looks like there's a latch under the seat where a lock would be used, but no locking mechanism.

The backs of the seats do have a strap to pull and the locks. All is fine there.

Has Toyota eliminated the locks/straps for the seats or is my new truck missing them?

No straps on the 2020 for the bottom seats.

 

The bottom cushion flips freely... they do in my 2016 too.

The seat back has the release so you can fold down to get a flat surface. It's a nylon loop... just pull.

 

Oh, gotta remove the headrests to fold the seatback down.
