Those "little" feet on my 5' 10" daughter are a size 11 in mens and she sits behind my 5' 7" wife. So, I think there's still plenty of room in the back seat of the double cab.

That being said, she rode in the back seat of my 2000 Tundra access cab for 9 years so, the back seat of the DC Tacoma probably feels like sitting in a recliner in comparison. ;)

Midgets must sit in the front for long legged adults to be comfortable in the back.

DC seats four comfortably, five uncomfortably, and as many mexican day laborers as you can fit in the bed.

    Yeah, I said it.

Anyway, unless you're unusually tall (6ft+) or fat (odds are good in the ol' US) the DC has plenty of room.

Hey ASH, this is kinda off topic (Actually really off topic) and you've probably been asked this before, but where did you get those seat belt covers?

No problem and, yes, I do get this question a lot. Here's my response:

I bought them at my nearest Toyota dealer. They got them locally from a distibutor but it's been discontinued. They also only had an internal part # available so it's apparently not something that all dealers stock.

Here's some info. from the packaging in case you want to search them out:

    Co. Name: Auto Sporting
    Desc.: Shoulder Pads
    Size: Racing Belt 3P & 4P

Designed by Japanese, fits Japanese comfortably. Women and kids are ok too. Specially if there are short legged people in the front.
At a tad over 200 lbs, I wear size 11 shoes that don't fit under the seats very well and I would not want to travel any length of time in the back seat. Also, my knees stick up and the bottom of my legs don't make good contact with the bottom of the seat. This causes leg pain after any amount of time.

Ok thanks a bunch man. I'll do some searching. eBay has some that are TRD, but they don't look near as nice as yours. If I find 'em somewhere I'll post a link.

That is a very good point. It does fit well for smaller folks but not us larger specimens. I'd fit OK on shorter trips but I'd hate to think what it would be like on an hour or longer trip.

I'm 6'3", 250, with a size 14 shoe so, back seats in general aren't my friend.

He asked where to get the belt covers so I sang the Ebay song.

If the question hadn't included the word "Spacious" I might have answered differently. Can adults ride in the back? Absolutely. A single adult could ride ok if they were able to get their legs to the side, but sticking em under the seat for any time would be pretty uncomfortable.
Spacious should not be used to reference the back seat of any mid or small size pickup. Even some of the full size " Dodge for example" don't have a great deal of leg room but they do have higher seats which allow for us guys with big feet.

I'm 6'3 and have no problems fitting in the back as long as I sit up straight. There is much more headroom than the first gens, which means you don't have to slouch down thus more legroom.

I think a lot of the "I'm too big for the backseat" comments come from people who suck at calling Shotgun, or they don't know how to sit right because there is plenty of room back there. I agree, it would suck to ride across country back there, but a couple of hours, no problem.

I wouldn't want to go cross country, but it gets the job done. Unless you have someone like me driving who has the seat all the way back. In that case someone is riding in the bed.
