double cab rear door won't open from inside or outside

Hey guys,

I pulled my driver side rear door handle yesterday and something shifted inside the door and now the door wont open from the inside or outside. I suspect the cable inside the door has jumped out of the guide.

Any ideas on how I can open the door without breaking things? Can I go through the window?

Below is a picture of the inside of the door with the inside panel removed.

 

Peel off the plastic and look inside the door by the handle. It's likely the rod that may have became disconnected from the handle and connects to the actuator. For guidance, you could also pull the other side door panel off.

 

I just had this happen on my 3rd gen. @andrewtheadventurer , how did you get the door open with both handles not working?

 

Check the child lock switch to at least account for the interior handle not working. I had that happen when I pulled the handle to vinyl wrap the truck.
