Has anyone tried fitting the rear panels from a double cab into an access cab? I will be removing my access cab jump seats as soon as my truck arrives. Been hitting the junkyards trying to find an access cab without jumper seats for the rear panel and have been unsuccessful but I find double cabs a plenty. I wouldn't mind the double cab rear panels as they at least provide some storage and would be more durable than leaving the stock jump seat backs there.

Finding them is not the issue. Lots of junkyards in my area have them as double cabs are quite popular. The question is, has anyone tried the double cab back trim pieces in an access cab? Will they fit? Do the screw holes line up? Does it cover the access cab storage boxes? I don't think I've seen anyone put these in an access cab.

When I remove the seats, the double cab panels would be quite handy as opposed to the access cab utility panel:

That is a great question, I’m not sure why they wouldn’t work, or couldn’t be made to work. For an access cab that would be really versatile. Easy to mount panels and expanding into a larger custom storage would be easy.

I guess the next step is trying to find disassembly instructions of both cabs and see if I can work out the location of the screw holes. The ETA on my truck is about a month from away so everything is theoretical for now. I was hoping someone had tried it.

Once I get my truck and rip out the stuff in the back, I may start looking for a fellow TW member in my vicinity who did the rear seat delete for fitment.

I'm trying to find double cab parts. I want to see if the rear panel from a double cab fits decently in an access cab.
