Is it common for the rear seat on double cabs to rattle? My 04 drivers side seat back rattles alot when someone is sitting in it. Pulled the hinge cover and the bushing seams really loose. The noise is coming from the latch up top but the movement seams to be because the pivot bushings are really loose. (At least the bushing on the outside)

    Thanks for the help.

Just put duct tape or electrical tape on the metal latch, that comes in contact with the rubber part. I was complaining of the same thing before. The rattle noise went away. But first tighten the loose part first.

i had a rattle noise once upon a time.. there is a box behind the seat (on mine anyway) that sometimes becomes loose...take it off and put it back on and it goes away

Thank you for the input. For sure this is not something behind the seat hitting the seat. Only thing back there is the jack and it is on the passenger side. It is the actual seat. I was shocked at how loose the bushings were. Not what i expected.

Sounds like this may not be normal? Will do some more investigation this weekend.

i had this problem with my rear bench seat in my double cab....when I first got the truck I was living in St. John N.B. Canada and the roads are ridiculously awful and it would rattle over every bump....

the white/clear plastic bushing on the pin where the seat actually folds was all worn out so I just wrapped it with tape like above...perfect fix! Just watch if you're constantly jamming something like winter coats behind the seat or hard on the seat when you're folding it....or else you're cut through the tape pretty quick..
