Double Cab roof rails mods for access cab

Does any one tried to fit the double cab oem roof rails to an access cab?
Is it possible to shorten the center piece and put the end caps on again?
Is the roof shape identical up to the length?
Anyone with some detailed information?

 

I think there are a couple threads where people jimmy rigged an OEM double cab roof rack onto an AC but nothing like a real kit or anything.

 

The only threads I've found on this topic are roof rails that need drills in the roof.

 

I think they all do. If i'm not mistaken the AC's don't have any mounting holes in the roof rails like the DC's do. Someone correct me if i'm wrong please.
