These are some awesome ideas, but way outside my abilities. And cutting the chasis under the seats would scare the poo out of me. Looks like I may be sitting anything bigger than an 8" speaker in the floor. I'm just wondering if there is a discernable difference between two 8" subs (or one for that matter) and a 12" sub? Seems like you can hide two 8" subs far easier than you can one 12" sub. And maybe the easiest route is just dropping a 12" in a box on the floor and losing when you have passengers.,

Looking forward to following your build Warhorse.

Seems like this is the easiest path to take, and just remove when I got the kiddos in the backseat.

1 12 would hit harder than 2 8's but not by much. I love my 2 8's behind the seat they are everything I need for sq with a little bit of bump but I'm building that box mainly to get more sound pressure levels in the cab. If you don't mind pulling out the box every time someone sits back there the you can go that way but for most applications something like I've got now would be perfect for most everyone.

My first plan was to replace the whole center console with a box and have the sub facing up and back towards the rear windows. Lots of fiberglass work though. Was gonna go with a 12" JL W3. Local audio shop quoted me $1000 just for the box. So I opted for the much cheaper route of just putting a box on the floor lol.

You shouldn't have to glass a box to do something like that. It won't look as stock as it would have but it is still possible to do with plain mdf.
