First post. So I might get a 2008 double cab 4x4 with the off road package in a couple of days. I've been trying to research lifts and tires sizes, like everyone else does. As of now I'm thinking I want the OME full lift from wheelers. It's the 885s in the front, dakars in the rear with their shocks and struts. I do not plan on adding spacers to make it the full 3 inch lift, it should be about 2 in the rear and 2 1/4 up front. If I run some 17x8.5 +0 wheels, will I be able to run 285-70-17 tires? From what I've see, I think I can but I want to double check before I order all of this stuff.

ARB OME 3in lift, 33's on FJ rims, ARB air lockers, 4.88 gears, snugtop shell.
I put the Old Man Emu on my 2014 reg cab with a 4 cylinder, I absolutely love it. My truck is a lot lighter so I got 3 inches or more lift. I put 285/70r17 on FJ rims. My 4 cylinder didn't want to turn those big tires so I swapped my 4.10s with 4.88s. Runs perfect now.
