Alright, so I've been reading non-stop the weeks before and after purchasing my truck and finally decided on a general build list. I wanted to create this thread for those more experienced to tell me things like "no, get xyz before this" or "have you considered abc instead of xyz?"

This will likely be long winded with my part name and my reasoning after, but hopefully it makes sense.

First, about me and my uses: I live in Denver, Colorado (hence the name). I camp, fly fish, MTB, and hike in the summers and fall. Winter and spring I ski, snowboard, and snow shoe. I'm out almost every weekend doing something outside and haul a ton of gear either with everyone packed up in my car, or with all the crap I need to camp at night, hike up to some alpine lakes, and fish in the days. When really far off in the woods, I carry a rifle or at the least a handgun both for fun with friends, or as animal defense if ever needed.

All parts are listed in order of priorities:

    1. Diamondback SE Bed Cover - I wanted this first to make the truck more functional. I want to be able to keep things in my bed and I need things secure between the expensive gear, and firearms. I don't want people getting or seeing into the bed if I have to stop by the grocery store to resupply. Also figured its a plus that I can tie things down and it supports 400 lbs.

    2. Falken Wildpeaks AT3 in 265/75/16 OR General Grabber ATX in the same size - I haven't decided which yet, but I DD my truck and go into the mountains on the weekend so road noise is just as important to me as off road capability. I'm also very paranoid about getting punctures on trail...so both those tires may be E rated...though the ATX only comes in E. Being in Denver, snow and ice performance is very very important to me. I've driven on all seasons, and dedicated snow tires (blizzaks) and will never go back to an all season tire in snow so want an AT that works as best as an AT tire can in snow.

    3. The Taco Garage Multi Mount - Phones and GPS units blocking your vents and screen are lame...I like my back up camera.

    4. RCI or RSG rock sliders - Not sure if angled or flat yet, but I do want to use it as a step (I'm short). They're local and both have good reputations so I figured why not save on shipping

    4. Baja Designs Amber Fogs - It's Colorado, we get bad weather and lots of snow, so I would like to have some visibility in bad conditions

    5. Garmin Inreach Explorer - I figured at this point with tires, sliders, and a place to mount them I would be doing more challenging trails so want a good way to navigate them. Plus the SOS button is some good peace of mind.

    6. Under grill light bar of some sort with OEM looking buttons running into the cab buttons by your left knee. - Not very often, but sometimes I've left camp or left the river/lake/body of water at night and it would be nice to have some extra lighting to see that deer before I hit it down the fire road. Maybe move this further down?

    7. RCI or RSG full underbody skids - Just because skids, I will not have a lift at this point but I like the idea of the protection being a new truck I just spent a bunch of money on.

    8. ARB on board air compressor - possibly move up the list, but this seems more like a nice to have, rather than a necessity as its more convenient on board, rather than breaking out a little air compressor and plugging it into the bed outlet.

Eventually, then plan is (in no particular order...yet)

Bed rack that fits the diamond back cover, and will accommodate a rod vault for the fly rods that's now just sitting in the garage

    a RTT on top

Various recovery gear mounted to the rack

    Extra fuel/Jerry Cans/ Rotopax

    Shovel

    MTB mounts

    A small lift 2-3 inches?

    Bigger tires and different wheels

Any feedback would be appreciated! Move certain things up and down the list, suggest different brands, etc.

Edit: I don't plan to rock crawl or anything like that. It's more so a truck to facilitate all the hobbies I've picked up. Maybe some trips out to Utah national parks to camp and what not would be the most "overlanding" type thing I do. Any of this stuff overkill for that?
