Double check my suspension list and recommend tires

    Dudes,

I have been ordering parts for my dream suspension. I have a 2019 DCLB. I but the bullet and went with ADS extended travel shocks (stage 2, resi’s but no clickers) and 650 pound coils. I bought the shocks directly from ADS as they’re local to me so I didn’t have the option of getting a put together kit.

ADS stocks and recommended Dirt King ball joint UCA’s so I got those too.

I ordered a set of Deaver expedition Stage 2 leafs, bushings, and u bolts from headstrong.

And I ordered a set of SCS ray 10s in 16x8.

I’m looking for recommendations for what else I may need to order for the lift first and foremost (spacer for taco lean perhaps?) I am considering the ECGS bushing but usually don’t like changing things like that until they need it. And perhaps a diff drop but I would prefer to keep the clearance.

Im planning on doing about 2” in lift all the way around (what the deavers should give also). I don’t beat unnecessarily on my truck and usually don’t drive fast off road. I am a hunting guide and do use it to get into remote country on our very rough southern AZ roads. I have a bedrack, RTT sliders now with plans for full steel skids in the near future, and maybe high clearance bumpers down the road (but no winch) hence the heavier spring choices

as far as rubber I’m thinking hard about the 255x85r16. Skinny tires don’t bother me, load range E doesn’t bother me (our rocks are sharp) and it may prevent having to do a CMC or CMR (but I’m not opposed). I’ll be on stock gears for the life of these tires and perhaps shoot up to 35s then when paying for a regear and figuring out a new spot for a full size spare won’t seem so bad after ordering all of this stuff.

But I’m not opposed to considering a wider tire or doing the CMC. I’m a paralysis by analysis kind of guy and finally got to this point and just want to have my ducks in a row while waiting the 10-15 weeks for my shocks and springs. Currently the cooper ST MAXX tires in 255 85r 16 are the leading tire choice (obviously I’m now married to 16s since I ordered wheels (prefer the smaller wheels).

thanks for the recommendations, I’m having way to much fun planning and researching this stuff!

Sounds like you put a lot of thought into the build
While skinny definitely perform well, I still think 285’s look better
You may want to consider 285’s cmc and the KD max tune

I would recommend doing a u bolt flip kit for the rear with either timbren or wheelers superbump bumpstops, with a matching set for the front too.

Extended brake lines are not really needed but I installed them for the peace of mind and for the improved brake pedal firmness and feel.

Ome makes a carrier bearing drop to correct the driveline angle to reduce/eliminate driveline vibrations, and you can install angled axle shims if you need to correct it even more. I bought both of these and only used the Carrier bearing drop kit and sold the axle shims since I had no drive line vibrations. If you do buy the angled shims, make sure to buy steel ones, and not the aluminum ones.

As for the cmc, I would just do it and get it out of the way, I had the cmc done at 5k miles along with flattening the pinch weld. I have zero rubbing in that area and when I go to 35's, I just need to do some more fender trimming. Even with cmc, you will need to trim the fender and flare.

No need for shock spacer, use the threaded adjustment on the shocks to take out the taco lean.

Front Diff drop is not recommended as it rotates the diff and messes with the driveline angle, reduces ground clearance and may make the diff interfere with skid plates. Really no benefit to this mod.
