I'm pretty sure I used a Metra Kit in mine and it fits really well (as good as factory) and no issues at all.

I installed the ATOTO A6 dual din head unit this past weekend and used the Metra dash kit. I had read about some fitment challenges with it compared the Schosche kit but had no trouble myself. I used the old metal bracket from the old head unit. Everything fit together just as it should.

A few mods here and there and counting....
I've been using the same Schosche double din silver dash kit with 3 different headunits for the past 7 years and it has held up just fine. Fitment is good and matches the trim. IMO, I didn't like the Metra because of awkward angle and the texture(dimples like the climate control). It's a matter of preference really. Both have been called out for various pros and cons but they are the top two for the Tacomas.
