After I do my front brakes tomorrow I’m gonna lift my bed off again and then cut the heads off my bed mounting bolts and grind a bevel into the cut off end then weld them onto different bolts to lengthen them for the body lift for the bed.
If I have time after that then I’ll put my dump wheels and tires on the back and go do burnouts and get some videos for you guys.

It would have been a better show if there wasn’t any wind.

Okay I got the bed part of the body lift done and can confirm that the bolts that hold the bed to the frame of the truck are m12-1.25 and for a 1” body lift you need to buy m12-1.25 x 60mm bolts to replace them with.

my question is, can I flip the bumper brackets side for side so it raises the rear bumper or will it not work as I don’t want to have to fight those bolts for no reason.

if not I’ll just make a rear bumper out of 3-4” oil pipe.

It didn’t even chatter when I reused my old flywheel and just cleaned it up with a whetstone and some water.

It drives a bit different than a stock clutch but is still completely streetable and comfortable for daily driving.

It engages softer and easier than my old stock aisin clutch did.

Okay time for a little experiment, this battery was $100 on Amazon with a coupon and says it works for cars and trucks, i’m going to use this in my truck and if it works out then we have a source for putting lithium on batteries in our pick ups for $100. If it doesn’t I send it back and get my money back

I’m also upgrading my battery cable ends and I took apart the battery harness off of the 1998 4Runner and converted the old starter lead into my new ground cable

Haven’t posted here in a long while so I thought I’d give you guys a general update.

About a month ago the taco died, I bought a new shitbox 90 gmc WT K1500 to get me by until I start my job in September with the city parks department ($17 an hour with full benefits free insurance and a retirement plan).

The taco needs a new ECU and it ain’t cheap so I’m gonna have to send it out for repair.

This was the height of the Tacomas glory,IMG_3425.jpg IMG_3334.jpg
That was it on my set of 37” super swampers I put together for $160.IMG_3482.jpg
How The silver bullet sits for now.IMG_3520.jpgThe new truck I’m driving, 350, 4 speed, 4x4, no ac, about to get a pro comp lift kit for only $300.

Well I got an ECU out of a 99 3.4 auto 4x4 for $275 today and when I get home later I’ll throw it in and it should be alive once more.

might even enter it into the local mud runs at the fair
