I picked up my truck on Wednesday and on Friday road tripped from Phoenix to St. George for the marathon. Took the opportunity to off road through Vermilion Cliffs to White Pocket on the way up. Truck did great in the hard pack and sand. Absolutely love it. The link below has some shots for the GoPro attachment on the windshield.

Did not test out the multi terrain, but just used 4 wheel drive and it worked great in the soft sand.

Did u try 4L? I did in mine and was a little disappointed that the transfer from 4H to 4L is not super clean. I kinda had to play with it, shifting from D to Neutral and back and forth until it decided to engage. This is my first 4wd so maybe that's just the nature of the beast?

Btw the CC is sweet. Even novice like me felt in total control over semi-Knarly hills.

No I only used 4H. Did not have any problems but did not try 4L.

haha, my pals and I call someone's toyota broke in when they hit 200000. Can't wait to see how these trucks perform in their prime (at least over 150k miles)

Thanks, I loved watching your vids as I was waiting for my truck to come in. Where on the west side do you go off roading?

I went out there a few years ago but it has been a while. May try the truck out there this weekend.

I had the same thing happen in my 2010 Tacoma where I would go into 4L and 4H, while shifting from neutral to drive a few times before it would engage. Have not tried 4x4 in my 2016 yet. After awhile in my 2010 I figured that's just how it is and got used to it, that was my first 4x4 as well and figured it was the nature of the beast versus getting out of the truck to manually lock the tires like an old Bronco.

They are all like that. You basically have to unload the transmission entirely, which means driving in a straight line, with little to no throttle for at least 10 feet. The issue seemed least in my Xterra and worst in my Tundra, so I am assuming longer wheelbases make the issue worse.
