    Hey y'all,

I have a '05 double cab and one of the rear seatbelts doesn't retract any longer, making it essentially non-functional. Any tips on making it work again? I'd be open to replacing as well if anyone has any experience there and would like to pass along any tips.

    Thanks in advance!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
My best guess is that the return spring broke. If that's the case, I don't believe it's repairable. Check with a salvage yard, maybe you can find one, which would be better than buying a new one (if you could find one).

If you can't find one there's also several companies out there that rebuild seat belts.

Before you go replacing, have you tried cleaning?

Pull the belt all the way out, scrub the hell out of it with dawn dish soap, rinse, dry, and cycle it several times. If it still doesnt work, THEN replace it.

Good tips, thank you all so much! I’ll try cleaning it like crazy first and go from there….
