a 10" sub will sound better with rock, country but rap will still sound good...
a 12" sub is more for rap , techno (deep bass)
you can by a sub for $50 or go up to $1000+ but you can get a decent one for $100- $200

tacosuprem, yeah these sony slims run for about $120 and like i said, they sound fine, plus im gonna have 2 of them, my JLs in my other truck had a 250w amp hokked up to them and they hit pretty damn hard... i figure these sony's will sound great wiht a bigger amp (considering they handle 1200w each) and also the fact that they are actually in the cab unlike a car where it would just be in the trunk... and PRain please do... cuz I'm lookin for something to hit hard when i got my rap cds playin but still sound great when i got my rock cds in...

i used to have 2 - 12" memphis subs that were pretty damn loud. had 1400 watts just to the subs... then another 150 i think? to the mids and highs. when i would smoke a cig with the music loud, the smoke would vibrate. My nose would itch like crazy too haha... well hope they work out for you. i may get somthing in the future for the truck but with a 2 year old riding shotgun i have to wait.

MTucker, Is there any way you could hook us up with the specs of the box (L x W x H) so it can save some of us from having to dish out $100 bucks. Could you possibly put the deminsons of the box on your picture so we can see the length and width of the channels/cut outs that are in the box to make it fit. I know this is a lot to ask but it would be greatly appericated! Thanks in advance!

No they should fit perfect with just removing the backs. Its a tight squeez though. And you have to remove everything off the back wall and the brackets.

RPain, u using that dual 8 box? if so u think there may be enough space to put a bigger hole for a 10" sub in it?
