My first track bike was an '02 Speed Triple, the wind at track speeds reeeaaaallly sucked. Two track days and I was upgrading to the D675.

I wanted the fz to be easier on my back, but I had to tuck in a little to relieve the strain on my neck

I like this thread. A healthy amount of motorcycle bull shit going on in here! Though I'm so left out not being a track slut :(

I live in the mountains and there are not any tracks around and I have too many hobbies.

We just got back from whats probably the last ride of the summer, and it was still pretty chilly.

My Contribution (i'm partial to naked things):

The nice thing about being in the mountains is you have roads with curves. Still not a track but fun all the same.

I'm much in the same boat where I live. Well, except I've got Summit Point about 45 mins away and Virginia International Raceway about 2.5 hours away. The problem with tracks is time and money!

Oh no I totally get it! Maybe if my bike had nice shaped fairings I would have kept them on, they're just to bulbous for my liking. Though I started off with cafe bikes so ive always had a thing for low and minimal.

Thanks :D I wouldnt trade living in the mountains for anything. I miss certain amenities about big cities, but today I went DH MTN biking, hiking and bouldering, then went for a motorcycle ride with some friends along the river. Nice relaxing saturday!

And there's incredible fly fishing around Jackson. I've been out there a couple of times fishing the South Fork of the Snake right across the line in ID. Had fun on some great spring creeks around Jackson too!

I'm trying to get out to WY in the next few years on a pronghorn hunt as well. You're pretty lucky, you've got lots of fun stuff to do where you are!
