I'm going to say good job exercising your constitutional rights while being a complete jack ass, and call the ones who defend those rights ignorant and stupid!

I hate when I'm at work but don't really feel like doing anything, so I join one of those "Who can be the biggest douchebag?" contests on TW, and then I get an email that my boss is doing site visits tomorrow so I actually have to clean and make sure it looks like a couple of professionals work here.

Thank you to the freedom-loving person who made the video. The state has no right to question someone when there is no reason to believe they have committed a crime.

I assume your refering to me. Exactly what question did I "not" answer? I looked and did not see any question asked of me. If you ment this for someone else, I appologize.

    CORRECTION...
I reread your post; you were refering to the guy in the car not answering the question...my misunderstanding. Still confussed why your so mad though, I would have thought people would be happy knowing something that my help them. Don't know why you would not want people know know things that may be helpful to them?

Oh, I'd die of boredom. Internet usage is assumed, my boss knows we spend ridiculous quantities of time on Facebook, YouTube, etc. But we also send out reports to our customers 3-5 times per shift, day and night, so it's pretty obvious if you aren't getting your job done in a timely and high quality way. The rule is when you're on shift you can do whatever you want except sleep, as long as your work is done.

Alright, back to the fun. /hijack

    So... rights, government, blah blah...

How can PINGO (from post 199 and 201) be a "follower"? You seem to be very mad at anyone who does not agree with you and does not think the driver is wrong. The truth is the driver had every right to not answer and there are alot of reasons supporting it, ones stated by the U.S. Supreme Court Justices (people go to post #190 a watch the videos for yourself and make up your own mind)

Seems like alot of people don't want others to know they have a right to remain silent. I wonder if they are cops themselves of have a close famly member or friend that is a cop??? Hummmm

When would have been a better time to exercise his right? It was a DUI check point, that is the time to exercise the right to remain silent when being question if he was drinking or not.

In Ohio check points do not stop every car, just the ones that they want to check. all the others are allowed to pass. Other posters have said that his refussing to answer questions held everyone up. But it did not. Other cars are still allowed to pass around him. Think about this, when you get pulled over in a check point, you are "pulled over" out of the way. You have to be. If you are not, AND you are found drunk, now your car is in the way of everyone behind you and then you really are blocking traffic up. They have tow trucks right there ready to go, but they still will take 5 minutes to hook the car up and get it out of the way if it is not already.

And yes the cops were TOTALY cool and respectful and so was the driver. And also, think about this one, if the drive was doing something wrong by refusing to answer their question, then why did they not arrest him right then and there. Because they could not, they had no grounds to. And we all KNOW if they had a sliver to arrest him they would have, if for no other reason then to give him a hard time and "show him" for not answering their questions.

Actually, all the checkpoints I've been through, they stop every single car. Like I said, I'm not questioning his rights. I just think there are better ways he could go about doing it if he really wants to change how DUI checkpoints work. :)

Hahaha this video is hilarious. I personally think the guys being kind of douschey about it but it's still funny. It makes me wonder if he's a cop himself tho cause I wouldn't ever think twice to not answering and then in turn asking them a question. But a simple yes would've been fine. That's what I always say when I get stopped at one cause I'm not a tard and I don't have anything to hide.

I'm not questioning his rights.. I'm questioning why he wouldn't answer a simple question. Sure he has the right to not answer. That's good and all I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to answer such a quick and easy question? And no, I have no family or friends that are cops. I'm just not a fan of people who make problems for no reason.

UMMMMM I think you ment to say a simple "No". LOL Umm if you said "yes" I think that would have ended baddly for you. He was asked if he was drinking. A "yes" would not be a good answer. lol

But now may be a good time to say to go back to post #190 and watch the 2 videos on why you should not talk to the cops. It's a law class; 1st part is the law professor, 2nd part is a cop addressing the class. Very informative.
