Has Anyone needed to replace their starter that has Doug Thorley headers on?

Can the starter be replaced without removing the header on the 3.4?

starter is tucked in there pretty tight!

I don’t have aftermarket headers but when I did my starter I had to partially disconnect the steering rack just to pull it out. I wonder how much room you have underneath with aftermarket headers. Here to see the outcome of this as I’m looking to install some in the future.

Was a piece of cake, starter drops out the bottom with the 5 speed took a whole hour and didn't have to undo header.
The top bolt u need an open end wrench and can only turn the bolt a 1/4 turn at a time, That top bolt runs right into the header and a socket will not fit over it because of lack of space 1" maybe,
Just used a 14mm wrench and a cheater wrench and both nuts came loose pretty easily.
Did everything from the bottom of the truck.

Didn't have to access from the passenger wheel well either,

FYI , there's no way the starter with pass through the passenger wheel well with these headers blocking that path

With the 5speed it literally took me an hour for removing + installed and had plenty of space to drop the starter out in between the exhaust and the rack,
I was expecting this to be a nightmare thinking that I would need to remove the exhaust header section.

Nice! I’m glad it was easy. Maybe the headers helped with space. I had a hell of a time doing my starter, same specs, 5spd 4wd.
