    gray wire mod, blacked out, debadged, toolbox foglights, cb in dash, system, bilstein 5100's in front wrapped in eibach coils, 5125's in the rear with 2 inch aal and 1 inch shackle, diff drop kit, extended rear brake line, 8000 lb smittybuilt winch on a custom winch bumper, 2 4 inch 100 watt kc's and 2 6 inch 100 watt kc's on the bumper, sometimes a ladder rack,much more to come
    i want some new headers for my 2003 but i dont know if i should get doug thorleys or gibsons ive never dealt with headers so id like some help/opinions

    i dont know what that means..i want somethin thatll help with my gas mileage but also give a good rumble to go with a flowmaster exhaust

    Gibson are stort tubes which give more bottom end power. Long tubes are Doug Thorleys, they give better top end.

    so basically the doug thorleys would be more of a loud exhaust than a performance correct?

    no long tubes get overall more power. However you will delete a cat with them. So you wont pass smog. Short tubes you will, but yes long tubes will be a little louder but not much.

    I know on 2nd gens, the long tubes replace the Cats, maybe its different for first gens?

    thanks guys im kinda thinkin the doug thorleys nobody checks cats around here anyway..but what about gas mileage will they be about the same or would the long tubes be better since your cuttin the cat?

    I thought the doug thorleys delete the first cat but the second is still there. I could be wrong though. :confused:

    im not sure about the 6 cylinder guys... but for us 4 cyl guys we keep out one and only cat:) haha

    and the headers will slightly increase your mpg... maybe .5-1. if your doing it only for mpg it wont repay for its self

    well im planning to re do my entire exhaust..i put flowmasters on my old dodge and it sounded great and gave me like 3 mpg which im not worrying about that..i just dont wanna put a flowmaster 40 series on my taco and it sound like a pissed off bumblebee like a guy down my roads so i wanted headers to give it a little more rumble and i figured i might as well get the best i can get..im really doing it to gain a little more power and alot more sound :D

    s40 Flowmaster 33" Toyo M/T tires 16" P.A wheels 3" revteck Suspension lift
    I have a flowmaster 40 cat back with 2.25 in and 2.5 out, and it sounds great! I researched headers as well not too long ago, for our 3.4 v6's, you will see little to no mpg increase (less than 1) and it wont make your "exhaust" louder it will make your engine louder.
