Down Syndrome Awareness Day

not super inspirational but the best I got.

 

Makes me think of a friend of mine's son with Down Syndrome who I had the distinct privilege of playing many rounds of golf with riding in the cart together. I learned more from him about true joy and living in the moment than I have from anyone else. He never has a bad day.

 

With every hardship comes a new beginning. We must overcome the obstacles that God has set in our way in hope that we may one day join him In Heaven. God bless

 

Props to my niece who was born 3 days after my daughter and who's showing Down Syndrome who's boss. She's doing awesome and makes me so proud to be her Uncle!

My Aunt always told me that if you and everyone you knew sat around a table and each person wrote down their problems and put them in a hat, you'd always end up taking your own back given the choice to switch. This idea has often times made me rethink feeling sorry for myself.
